Hi,
I have a bunch of old TBBS software, that I am willing to zip up and upload.
I have TBBS 2.3M 4 line
TDBS 4 line
Backup copy of Tbbs 2.2 Single line
RipKit (early RIPOM)
Some where in my stored away boxes, I have the audio tapes, eSoft sold after some BBS convention in 1987/88. I believe that there was some disks provided, with sample menus around the time they went from MEDIT to SDL for menu making. I think these are the same files provided with the newer TBBS disks.
Too bad I don't have my old disks from the old TBBS for the Radio Shack TRS-80 computer.

Yes I am a Ham Radio operator.
Interesting thing about the TRS-80 disks, Phil Becker himself copied the TBBS files and handed me the new disks, when I purchased the program package. This was in 1982.

I am also a HAM W4RFJ...
I have been dabbling with the idea of getting my TRS-80 Model 4 hooked up to a hard drive and running tbbs from it... I have some DSK files with the TBBS program that I have been looking at on a TRS-80 Simulator.... But I have no Docs on the TRS-80 TBBS stuff.... I believe it is the entire TBBS system (3Disks)
I plan to make the TBBS available thru a Telnet port on one of my linux boxes rather than use a modem!
Just an Idea.... My wife tells me I need a life!! heheh |

I have found all of my TBBS software and manuals (a few disassembies too). I have manuals for 2.3M, 2.2M, 2.1S, 2.0S. I have software for 2.3M[4], 2.2M[2], 2.1S (not sure if all files for 2.1). The 2.1 files are from test boards I messed with to test different menu themes, on single floppies. I had to dig out an old computer that had a 5.25" disk drive to look at all the disks from the older versions and other misc files. I have some of the older version mod files, when they used Debug to change the files.
The titles on the audio tapes: tape 1 "The History of TBBS" (35 min), tape 2 "Intro to Version 2.1" (90 min), tape 3 "Modems, Serial Ports and DigiBoards" (90 min), tape 4, "Obtaining Performance and Reliability" (90 min)

Roger,
I don't have any TRS-80 TBBS stuff. I got rid of my TRS-80 in 1987, just gave everything away for nothing, and I had alot of stuff.

Like many of us, I got started in programming based on TBBS ... and would love to proudly display a vintage early 80's manual in my office.
Anyone? |

do you mean one of those old TBBS 3 ring binder slipcase manuals? I have one you can have for shipping and handling. I have a few of those and some of the spiral bound manuals also. |
